Starting from the CAD file of a part of any complexity and from one set of customer specific process parameters
(InputForm), Elsyca's unique 3D electroplating simulation provides accurate thickness distribution predictions over the part. The modelling is based on one single part in a plating tank segment, and the simulation accounts for the distance to neighbouring parts and the anodes. Simulations are carried out for the different layers of the decorative electroplating process, including the copper, nickel and chrome steps.
The key results are summarized in an
electronic report and the full simulation results are delivered with the free 3D viewer,
Elsyca XPlorer. This provides the client with full flexibility to interrogate the results themselves.
For one part with one set of process parameters, the reports are available within 3 working days for a fixed price of
500EUR or $750.
This low cost service has high return advantages:

OEM: to predict potential corrosion and cosmetic issues in advance of platform release, as well as to select the right plating supplier in view of required infrastructure (e.g. facility to use auxiliary anodes).
